Ayden

Ayden's story

Ayden’s story in Flying Angels is a beautiful example of how love is the most powerful force in life.

Ayden's case was brought to our attention by “Il Castello dei Sorrisi”, a long-standing partner who recently reported on our collaboration in an article on our website.

As soon as we received the flight request for this little boy with Down syndrome, a couple came forward to cover the costs.

Valeria and Matteo wanted to celebrate their wedding by giving Ayden the opportunity to access the urgent care he needed. Ayden, in fact, not even a year old, had to fly from Tirana to Verona with his mother for an operation to correct his cardiopatia congenita.

Ayden managed to undergo the operation even before Valeria and Matteo celebrated their union.

Their wonderful gesture will be remembered on the wedding day in the wedding favors chosen by the spouses with the angel of life and certainly forever in Ayden's life.

The departure

Thanks to Valeria e Matteo, Ayden left Tirana on March 16th with his mother and landed in Verona, where he was immediately admitted because he appeared very tired. All pre-operative checks were carried out and, two days later, he was operated on.

Surgery

The surgery was successful and on March 25, Ayden was transferred to pediatrics to finish his hospital stay. On March 28, he was discharged, but remained in Italy for a while to undergo all the necessary post-operative checks.

Back home

Ayden left again on Monday 8th April, back in strength and with a renewed appetite; he returned to his family bringing home a message of boundless love.
